The Housing Lab is a development project that The Danish Arts Foundation and Realdania are behind. As advisors for public foundation and private fund, we have developed the initiative The Housing Lab. The lab serves as both networking for the building industry, a platform for knowledge sharing and – more tangible – a lab that serves the purpose of developing seven housing experiments that will be built in Denmark.
Since the beginning of the initiative Nord Architects has been the project office of The Housing Lab and focused on communicating new knowledge – with a mission to ‘reboot’ our housing sector.
On behalf of The Housing Lab we’ve developed a number of housing-themed conferences as well as edited several publications about housing quality, trends, challenges and recommendations.
Lastly Nord Architects curated an exhibition that showcases the seven different housing experiments that are part of The Housing Lab. The exhibition pavilion in Living Places Copenhagen is designed and executed by Effekt, Artelia and the VELUX Group.
