Establishing a new auditorium at the IT University in Copenhagen entailed a technical assessment, in close collaboration with the engineers, and defining two different scenarios for the seating in a new auditorium. One option proposed permanently mounted seating.
Another option proposed flexible seating that could easily be moved to the back of the room and create an open – empty – space when not in use. To interrupt as little as possible with the teaching and semesters at the university, all work was carried out during six weeks in the summer when the students were off.
